The Tata Harrier EV was recently unveiled in its production form. Following this, the domestic automotive leader has secured a design patent for the Harrier EV within the country. Tata Motors offers an extensive lineup of electric vehicles in India, leading the mass-market segment with models including the Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, and Curvv EV.

Currently, the company commands approximately 70 percent of the Indian electric passenger vehicle market. With the introduction of the Harrier EV, Tata Motors intends to enhance its dominance in this sector.

Tata Harrier EV: Design

The Tata Harrier EV features a newly blanked-off grille, an updated air dam, and a modified skid plate. Notably, the design patent introduces several unique elements that differentiate the Harrier EV from the previously showcased model. This patent indicates a fresh design for the alloy wheels and robust cladding on the doors, along with roof-mounted lights. However, it remains uncertain whether these features will be included in the standard model or offered as optional accessories.

Tata Harrier EV: Features

The Tata Harrier EV is set to be equipped with a variety of features within its interior, many of which will be inherited from the Tata Harrier ICE model. Notable features include an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, touch-sensitive air conditioning controls, and dual digital displays on the dashboard that integrate both the touchscreen infotainment system and the instrument cluster. Additionally, this electric SUV is anticipated to offer Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) capabilities, enabling the owner to charge various electronic devices and other electric vehicles, respectively.

Tata Harrier EV: Powertrain

The Tata Harrier EV is anticipated to feature a robust powertrain. This electric SUV is projected to offer a driving range of approximately 500 kilometers on a single charge. Additionally, the vehicle will be equipped with enhanced features, including a Summon mode and an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system, referred to by the manufacturer as QWD.
