Suzuki emphasizes that the recent expedition showcased the V-Strom SX's capabilities, which features a 250 cc oil-cooled engine integrated with the advanced Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS) technology. This engine delivers 26 bhp and achieves a peak torque of 22.2 Nm, paired with a 6-speed transmission. Weighing 167 kg, the V-Strom SX is claimed to adeptly handle various terrains, including both paved and unpaved roads, even under subzero conditions. The motorcycle is designed for an upright riding position and is equipped with dual-purpose semi-block pattern tyres.

Suzuki V-Strom SX sets new national record 

The Suzuki V-Strom SX embarked on its record-setting journey on September 11 at 7 PM from Tanglang La, successfully reaching Umling La on September 12, 2024, at 1 PM (IST). The expedition covered an impressive distance of 780 kilometers in just 18 hours. The route included nine notable mountain passes, including Khardung La at 17,582 feet, Umling La at 19,024 feet, and Marsimik La at 18,314 feet. A team of six experienced riders completed the journey in three phases, utilizing two V-Strom SX motorcycles to navigate the challenging terrains.

Suzuki Motorcycle India has made updates to its well-known motorcycle range in preparation for the upcoming OBD-2B compliance standards for the 2025 model year. The updated lineup includes the Suzuki Gixxer 155, Gixxer SF 155, Gixxer 250, Gixxer SF 250, and the V-Strom SX 250. Each model is fitted with an engine that adheres to the new regulations and is offered in fresh color variants to enhance its contemporary aesthetic.
