Suzuki has introduced a new limited edition of the GSX-8R specifically for the UK market, named the Kiiro Edition, which is restricted to only 60 units. This special edition boasts a variety of aesthetic upgrades and enhanced cycle components. Notably, it features a vibrant new paint scheme highlighted by bold yellow and black bodywork. The name "Kiiro," meaning yellow in Japanese, perfectly encapsulates the motorcycle's visual appeal. Additionally, the bike is fitted with grey wheels and a coordinating subframe. The bodywork is embellished with 8R black logos, and a tinted windscreen contributes to its striking look. The Kiiro Edition is also equipped with a tank pad, a single-seat cowl, and Gilles billet aluminum levers.

Suzuki GSX-8R: Mechanical changes

Regarding the mechanical specifications of the Suzuki GSX-8R, there are no alterations. It retains its 776 cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine featuring a 270-degree crank, delivering 81.8 bhp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 78 Nm at 6,800 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed transmission that includes an assist and slipper clutch.

The GSX-8R is also available in the Indian market but the Kiiro Edition will not come to India.
Suzuki GSX-8R: Design

The Suzuki GSX-8R features a striking design, highlighted by vertically-aligned headlamps that separate the front cowl and are smoothly integrated into the larger fairing. The engine is prominently displayed, reminiscent of the GSX-8S model. Furthermore, the fairing includes the rearview mirrors, and the GSX-8R is equipped with unique twin LED daytime running lights (DRLs). While the overall silhouette remains largely unchanged, the rear now showcases a new two-piece taillight, contrasting with the single unit found on the GSX-8S.

Suzuki GSX-8R: Hardware

The hardware setup includes 17-inch cast aluminum wheels fitted with Dunlop RoadSport 2 tires, complemented by Showa SFF-BP forks and a linked rear shock absorber. The braking system consists of dual 310 mm front discs and a single 240 mm rear disc. The fuel tank has a capacity of 14 liters, and the motorcycle weighs a total of 205 kg.

Suzuki GSX-8R: Features

Regarding electronic features, the GSX-8R is well-equipped, offering a dual-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS), traction control, multiple riding modes, an easy start system, and low RPM assist.

Currently, there are no intentions to introduce the Kiiro Edition in the Indian market.

In India, the Suzuki GSX-8R is available at a price of ₹9.25 lakh ex-showroom.

The Suzuki GSX-8R will face competition from the Honda CBR650R, Kawasaki Ninja 650, Aprilia RS660, and Triumph Daytona 660.
