Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) has joined forces with Flipkart, one of the top e-commerce platforms in India, to allow customers to book Suzuki motorcycles and scooters online. This partnership is all about making the buying process easier and more accessible, so customers can check out and purchase Suzuki two-wheelers right from their homes.
Starting April 15, 2025, people living in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Meghalaya, and Mizoram will be able to book popular models like the Suzuki Avenis scooter, the Gixxer series, and the V-Strom SX through Flipkart. Customers can look through the available options, choose their preferred variant, and finalize their booking on the site. After booking online, the nearest authorized Suzuki dealership will help with the paperwork and delivery.
Suzuki's collaboration with Flipkart reflects the shift in consumer habits, where convenience and digital platforms are key in making purchase decisions. Deepak Mutreja, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Suzuki Motorcycle India, mentioned that the company is adapting to the growing trend of online shopping. This partnership aims to provide a more accessible and efficient way for customers to connect with the Suzuki brand.
Additionally, this partnership helps Suzuki enhance its digital footprint, tapping into the expanding online market for automotive products. With more customers in smaller cities and towns turning to e-commerce, this initiative is designed to meet the needs of a broader audience. Sujith S Agashe, Senior Director at Flipkart, highlighted that this collaboration is part of Flipkart’s commitment to making shopping more convenient for customers in India. By providing a platform for booking Suzuki’s two-wheelers online, Flipkart is working to streamline the buying experience for tech-savvy consumers.
Suzuki Motorcycle India: Achieved record sales in FY25
Suzuki Motorcycle India achieved its best annual sales ever in FY2025, moving a total of 12,56,161 two-wheelers (including both domestic and export sales) over the past fiscal year. This marks an 11 percent increase from the 11,33,902 units sold in FY2024. The brand continues to dominate the 125 cc scooter market, with the Access being its top-selling model. Impressively, Suzuki's sales have doubled in the last four years.
In FY2024, Suzuki's domestic sales reached 10,45,662 units, reflecting a 14 percent rise from 921,009 units in the previous year. During the same timeframe, the company exported 210,499 units, slightly down from 212,893 units in FY2024.
