Suzuki Gixxer Series and V-Strom SX Enhanced to Meet OBD-2B Standards for 2025

Suzuki Motorcycle India has revised its mass-market motorcycle lineup to comply with the forthcoming OBD-2B regulations for the 2025 model year. The refreshed collection features the Suzuki Gixxer 155, Gixxer SF 155, Gixxer 250, Gixxer SF 250, and the V-Strom SX 250. Each motorcycle is equipped with an engine that meets future compliance standards and is available in new color variants for an updated aesthetic.
In discussing the revamped motorcycle range, Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycle India, stated, “By introducing OBD-2B compliant motorcycles, we are ensuring adherence to upcoming government standards while maintaining the performance our products are known for. This updated lineup not only incorporates cutting-edge technology but also offers our customers a variety of new color choices.”
2025 Suzuki V-Strom SX: What’s New?
The 2025 Suzuki V-Strom SX 250 is equipped with a 249 cc four-stroke, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that complies with the OBD-2B government regulations for enhanced emissions control. This engine maintains its output of 26.1 bhp at 9,300 rpm and delivers a peak torque of 22.2 Nm at 7,300 rpm. It is coupled with a 6-speed transmission. Aside from the revised engine specifications, there are no significant mechanical alterations to this quarter-litre model. However, it is available in three new color options: Champion Yellow No.2, Glass Sparkle Black, and Metallic Sonoma Red. The pricing for the 2025 Suzuki V-Strom SX is set at ₹2.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
2025 Suzuki Gixxer & Gixxer SF 155: What’s New?
The 2025 Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF 155 have been updated to meet OBD-2B compliance standards. The 155 cc single-cylinder engine generates 13.4 bhp at 8,000 rpm and delivers a peak torque of 13.8 Nm at 6,000 rpm. This engine is coupled with a 5-speed transmission. Additionally, the Gixxer and Gixxer SF are now available in three new color variants: Metallic Triton Blue/Pearl Glacier White, Glass Sparkle Black, and Metallic Oort Gray/Metallic Lush Green. The starting price for the 2025 Gixxer is ₹1.38 lakh, while the Gixxer SF begins at ₹1.47 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

The 2025 Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 are equipped with an OBD-2B compliant engine, delivering a power output of 26.1 bhp at 9,300 rpm and a torque of 22.2 Nm at 7,300 rpm, identical to that of the V-Strom SX. This engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and incorporates the Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS) along with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technologies, ensuring high performance, reduced fuel consumption, and straightforward maintenance. Additional features include Bluetooth connectivity, dual-channel ABS, and more.
Both the Gixxer and Gixxer SF 250 are available in three new color options: Metallic Mat Black No. 2, Metallic Mat Black No. 2 with Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red, and Metallic Triton Blue with Pearl Glacier White.
