Suzuki Motorcycle India is poised to commence its two-wheeler announcements at the forthcoming Auto Expo 2025, where the company is anticipated to introduce its first electric scooter to the market. Although specific details remain limited, it is expected that the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer will present the Suzuki Access Electric or e-Access at Bharat Mobility 2025. This new model is set to be the latest mainstream electric scooter featured at the event, alongside the Honda Active e.

Suzuki has been conducting extensive tests on the Burgman Electric in India; however, it appears that the company has decided to introduce the electric variant of its most popular model instead. The Suzuki Access 125 remains the top-selling 125 cc scooter in the market and enjoys a solid reputation among consumers due to its efficient and well-engineered engine. It is logical for Suzuki to extend the Access name to its first electric model, akin to Honda's approach with the Activa e, despite the fact that the new model has minimal similarities with the Honda Activa 110 cc version.

The Suzuki Burgman Electric made its international debut in 2023, and the forthcoming Access Electric is anticipated to share its foundational elements. The Burgman Electric is equipped with a PMS motor optimized for 4 kW (5.3 bhp) and delivers a peak torque of 18 Nm. However, it is noted that this model offers a range of only 44 km on a single charge. It is expected that Suzuki India will maintain similar specifications for the Access Electric while enhancing its range. Additionally, the e-scooter is projected to include removable batteries.

Suzuki Access Electric: Expected Features

The Suzuki e-Access is anticipated to feature a digital console equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, and alerts for calls and SMS, among other functionalities. It remains to be seen whether this electric model will provide ample under-seat storage, as the configuration of the battery will significantly influence this aspect.
