Skoda is poised to introduce the second generation of the Kodiaq SUV in India shortly. The automaker is anticipated to unveil its most premium model in the coming weeks, following its presentation at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo last month. The pricing for the new Skoda Kodiaq 2025 is expected to be revealed in April, positioning it as the flagship offering in Skoda's Indian portfolio. Currently, the Czech manufacturer provides two SUVs, the Kylaq and Kushaq, along with the Slavia, which is its sole compact sedan.
The new Kodiaq is likely to be available in two trims: Laurin & Klement and Sportline. Upon its release, the Kodiaq 2025 will compete with vehicles such as the Toyota Fortuner, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Jeep Meridian, among others.
Skoda Kodiaq launch: Key exterior, interior updates
Regarding the launch of the Skoda Kodiaq, significant updates have been made to both its exterior and interior design, as well as its features. The SUV embodies Skoda's Modern Solid design philosophy, presenting a more aggressive and commanding presence on the road. It features a prominent butterfly grille, streamlined headlight units, and redesigned taillights that include a connected light strip across the tailgate. Additionally, the Kodiaq is equipped with newly designed alloy wheels ranging from 17 to 20 inches.
In terms of dimensions, the new Kodiaq is slightly smaller than its predecessor. The length has increased by 61 mm, reaching 4,758 mm, while the wheelbase remains unchanged at 2,971 mm. This extended length has allowed Skoda to enhance cabin space and boot capacity in the new Kodiaq. However, both the width and height have been reduced, with the SUV now measuring 1,864 mm in width and 1,659 mm in height.
