Skoda Auto is gearing up to launch the Elroq RS, the sportier version of its electric SUV, on April 3, 2025. The Czech car manufacturer recently shared sneak peeks of both the exterior and interior of this performance-driven EV through social media, highlighting important design and mechanical features. Here’s what you can look forward to with the new Skoda Elroq RS.

Skoda Elroq: A Look at Its Design

The Elroq RS stands out thanks to its eye-catching Hyper Green color, which brings to mind the latest Skoda Octavia RS revealed at the Auto Expo. This bold hue is paired with a revamped front bumper, a sleek blacked-out ‘SKODA’ logo, roof rails, ORVMs, and RS badges positioned above the front fenders. Additionally, the SUV boasts tail lights adorned with ‘Skoda Crystal Lighting’ engravings, enhancing its upscale look.

Skoda Elroq: Cabin and Highlights

The Elroq RS boasts a sportier vibe inside, showcasing ‘RS’ logos on the steering wheel and sporty seats. Although Skoda hasn't revealed all the interior specifics yet, it's anticipated to have a dark headliner and a cockpit designed with the driver in mind, similar to other RS models. Expect some high-end tech features too, like a 13-inch central infotainment screen, a head-up display, ambient lighting, and a wireless charging pad.

Skoda Elroq: Airflow Design

The Elroq RS is equipped with aerodynamic alloy wheels that sport a body-colored strip, perfectly complementing its striking design. These wheels, reminiscent of those found on the Skoda Vision 7S concept, not only look great but also improve aerodynamics. The high-end version will offer an option for 21-inch wheels, which are already available on standard Elroq models in global markets.

Skoda Elroq: Engine, performance, and battery details

The Elroq RS is anticipated to feature an 85kWh battery pack, much like the Enyaq RS, which should provide a range of about 560km according to the WLTP cycle. However, because of its performance upgrades, the real-world range might be a bit less. This SUV is expected to come with a robust 326hp rear-wheel-drive (RWD) electric motor, positioning it as a strong competitor in the electric SUV market.

Skoda Elroq: Is the launch in India just around the corner?

Skoda India is looking at the possibility of launching its first electric vehicle by September 2025, but they haven't officially stated if the Elroq RS will be included in that lineup. The potential models for India might feature the Skoda Enyaq, the Enyaq Coupe, and the Elroq. However, since Skoda is prioritizing performance-driven vehicles like the upcoming Octavia RS, the Elroq RS might be introduced at a later date based on several considerations.
