Simple OneS Electric Scooter Launched: Affordable Long-Range Ride

Simple Energy has introduced the OneS electric scooter, priced at ₹1.40 lakh (ex-showroom), establishing it as the brand's most affordable model. This launch follows closely on the heels of the Simple One Gen 1.5 e-scooter, which was recently released with numerous enhancements. The OneS takes the place of the previously available Dot One, while offering an impressive range of 181 km (IDC) on a single charge.

The OneS features significant upgrades in all aspects compared to the Dot One. It can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.5 seconds in Sonic mode, achieving a maximum speed of 105 km/h. The scooter is powered by an 8.5 kW (11.3 bhp) PMS motor and is equipped with a 3.7 kWh fixed battery. In contrast, the flagship Simple One model includes a removable battery pack, which allows for a range of 248 km (IDC) on a single charge.

The Simple OneS accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in 2.55 seconds and features a fixed 3.7 kWh battery pack, providing a range of 181 km (IDC). Simple claims that the OneS is the fastest and offers the longest range among electric scooters in its price bracket. Additionally, it boasts 35 liters of under-seat storage, a seat height of 770 mm, and four riding modes: Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic. The OneS is available in four color options: Brazen Black, Grace White, Azure Blue, and Namma Red.

Simple OneS Features

The new Simple OneS is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen display and a 5G-enabled e-SIM. It offers Bluetooth connectivity, customizable themes, turn-by-turn navigation, over-the-air (OTA) updates, a Find My Vehicle feature, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and regenerative braking. Additionally, it introduces a Park Assist Function that facilitates both forward and reverse movements.

The Simple OneS will be available in all 15 showrooms situated in Bangalore, Goa, Pune, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Vizag, Kochi, and Mangalore. The company is set to expand its footprint nationwide, planning to establish 150 new stores and 200 service centers across 23 states in the upcoming year. The Simple Energy electric scooters are manufactured at the company’s facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, which has an annual production capacity of 150,000 vehicles.
