The newly enhanced Simple One Gen 1.5 scooter boasts an IDC range of 248 km, representing an increase of 36 km from the previous generation's 212 km. The manufacturer attributes these advancements to software optimizations, which include a refined Eco mode that enhances coasting regeneration. Additionally, improvements have been made to the braking regeneration system of the scooter.

2 Software integration  
The software of the Simple One Gen 1.5 electric scooter has undergone significant enhancements. These updates encompass advancements in ride modes, park assist functionality, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and mobile app integration. The scooter now features Bluetooth connectivity for calls, SMS, and WhatsApp notifications. Moreover, it supports built-in navigation through Map My India and provides real-time riding statistics via the mobile application.

3 Motor and performance  
The electric two-wheeler is powered by a PMS mid-drive motor, which delivers a total output of 11.3 bhp and 72 Nm of peak torque. This powertrain enables the Simple One Gen 1.5 to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in merely 2.77 seconds, with the manufacturer claiming a top speed of 105 km/h.

4 Features  
Among the notable features of the scooter are a 7-inch digital display that provides essential information, all-LED lighting for enhanced visibility, and a 30-litre under-seat storage compartment that adds to its convenience. Additionally, the Simple One includes auto-brightness adjustment, a vehicle locator function, customizable dashboard themes for a personalized touch, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) to ensure optimal tyre pressure at all times.

5 Pricing and competition  
The Simple One is priced at ₹1.66 lakh (ex-showroom). Competing with similar scooters in the market, the Simple One Gen 1.5 goes head-to-head with models such as the Ather 450X, the TVS iQube ST, and the Ola S1 Pro Gen 3. Furthermore, Simple Energy has announced plans to expand its dealership and service networks across 23 states in the near future.
