The 2.0-litre Turbo GDi mStallion petrol engine delivers 195 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, and you can choose between a six-speed manual or a torque converter automatic transmission. There's also a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine available in two configurations with different power outputs. Built on a monocoque chassis, the XUV700 scored five stars in the Global NCAP crash test. The entry-level MX1 variant starts at the lower end with a petrol engine and a six-speed manual, while the top-of-the-line AX7L, which boasts a 4x4 system and a diesel engine with a six-speed automatic, is priced at ₹22.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Mahindra BE 6 is available at a price range of ₹18.90 lakh to ₹26.90 lakh, ex-showroom. If you're in the market for something unique, the BE 6 could be a solid choice. It sports a really modern design and comes with options for a 59 kWh or 79 kWh battery pack. You can charge it from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes. According to Mahindra, the 59 kWh battery can take you up to 535 km, while the 79 kWh version boasts a range of 682 km.

If you're eyeing the Scorpio N but need to stick to a budget, the mid-range Pack Two variant of the XEV 9e could be a good fit. Similar to the BE 6, the XEV 9e comes with options for a 59 kWh or a 79 kWh battery pack. You can charge it from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes. Mahindra says the XEV 9e can travel up to 542 km with the 59 kWh battery, while the 79 kWh version boasts a range of 656 km.
