The Royal Enfield Scram 440 was launched on January 22, 2025, with a starting ex-showroom price of ₹2.08 lakh. Based on the popular Himalayan, this new model replaces the outgoing Scram 411, offering a larger engine, increased power, enhanced features, and new colour options. First unveiled at Motoverse 2024, the Scram 440 retains the design of the older-generation Himalayan.
Royal Enfield offers the Scram 440 in two main variants: Force and Trail. The entry-level Trail variant is priced at ₹2.08 lakh (ex-showroom) and features spoked wheels. Buyers can choose between two colour options: Blue and Green. The Force variant, priced at ₹2.15 lakh (ex-showroom), includes alloy rims and the Tripper navigation pod, available in three colours: Blue, Grey, and Teal.
Royal Enfield Scram 440: Technical specifications
The new Scram 440 is powered by an upgraded 443 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. It produces 25.4 bhp at 6,250 rpm and 34 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Compared to the previous 411 cc engine, the new unit features a 3 mm larger bore, delivering 4.5% more power and 6.5% more torque. Additionally, Royal Enfield has introduced a new pull-type clutch, enhancing durability and reducing lever effort by 0.75 kg.
The Scram 440 is built on a split cradle frame, with 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and a rear mono-shock, offering 190 mm and 180 mm of travel, respectively. The braking system has been upgraded with a 300 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc, along with dual-channel ABS, which is switchable at the rear.

Royal Enfield Scram 440: Features
The new Royal Enfield Scram 440 comes with both spoked rims and alloy wheels, allowing for the use of tubeless tyres. It is equipped with the new LED headlamp, which is standard across all new Royal Enfield motorcycles. The Scram 440 also features the Tripper dial and the same digi-analogue instrument cluster from the previous model. Additionally, the motorcycle is fitted with switchable ABS and a USB charger for personal devices.
