Royal Enfield reported total motorcycle sales of 91,132 units in January 2025, reflecting a 20 percent increase in year-on-year retail sales compared to the previous month. In January 2024, the company sold 76,187 units. Within the Indian market, Royal Enfield achieved sales of 81,052 units last month, representing a 15 percent rise from 70,556 units sold in the same month the previous year. Conversely, the manufacturer experienced a significant 79 percent increase in export figures, reaching 10,080 units compared to 5,631 units in the same month last year.

In recent months, Royal Enfield has adopted an assertive product strategy aimed at enhancing its sales performance. The growing demand for premium motorcycles with larger engines, as opposed to basic commuter models, has further propelled Royal Enfield's growth. In January, the company launched the Scram 440, an adventure crossover motorcycle equipped with a 443 cc engine and a six-speed gearbox, specifically targeting off-road enthusiasts.

The automaker has highlighted the pivotal role of the Hunter 350 in its growth narrative. Since its launch in August 2022, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has surpassed the 500,000 units sales milestone, according to the company. Royal Enfield acknowledged this achievement and reiterated its commitment to sustaining sales momentum while adhering to its core motorcycling philosophy. The success of the Hunter 350 particularly underscores Royal Enfield's expanding footprint in second and third-tier cities across India, as well as in international markets.

For the current financial year, Royal Enfield's year-to-date sales reached 818,209 units from April 2024 to January 2025, marking a seven percent increase compared to 761,246 units sold during the same period in the previous fiscal year. Domestic sales for the year-to-date rose by five percent to 733,908 units from 700,829 units, while exports surged by 40 percent to 84,301 units from 60,417 units.
