Royal Enfield introduced the Flying Flea at the Milan event in November 2024, and during CES, the company announced a collaboration with Qualcomm. This partnership aims to facilitate real-time connectivity for the Flying Flea. The motorcycle will utilize Qualcomm's Snapdragon QWM2290 chipset, positioning it among the first two-wheeler platforms to integrate connected services technology via the Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud Platform.

All components of the new Royal Enfield Flying Flea are developed internally by the manufacturer, while the connected technology is crafted by a specialized team at Qualcomm Technologies.

The Snapdragon QWM2290 System on Chip (SoC) drives the core vehicle control unit, which operates on a proprietary operating system created by Flying Flea. This system allows the motorcycle to oversee all vehicle functions and enhance the riding experience through a TFT display. The integration of the Snapdragon QWM2290 SoC and Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud technology enables the Flying Flea to maintain uninterrupted communication between the rider and the motorcycle, utilizing secure multi-modal interactions via 4G, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The chipset is designed to be both efficient and powerful, featuring a straightforward and user-friendly interface. Additionally, a dedicated voice assist button will be available to activate the voice assistant.

The Flying Flea offers five pre-set riding modes for the rider to select from, with the option to customize these modes according to personal preferences and terrain conditions. The chipset also facilitates the recognition of a mobile phone as a smart key, allowing it to unlock and start the motorcycle.

The initial two models under the Flying Flea brand will be the FF-C6, followed by the scrambler-style FF-S6. The C6 will be an electric retro motorcycle, while the S6 will represent the scrambler variant of the same model. Royal Enfield has announced that details regarding test ride locations and procedures will be revealed closer to the sales launch in 2026, with plans to introduce the motorcycle in various European countries.
