1 month ago | 5 Views
Royal Enfield's forthcoming electric sub-brand, Flying Flea, is preparing to unveil its inaugural model – the C6, specifically designed for the Indian market. The Flying Flea C6 draws inspiration from the original Flying Flea motorcycle that was utilized by the British Army during World War II. Initially presented in Milan, the FF C6 boasts a lightweight construction complemented by girder front forks.
The central Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) of the FF-C6 has been entirely developed internally, integrating all physical and digital interfaces on the motorcycle. The manufacturer has previously indicated that the VCU will not only enhance the motor for efficiency but also for riding enjoyment, allowing for "nuanced" adjustments to the throttle, braking, and regenerative braking feel. Most of these functionalities will be accessible through a mobile application.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6: Features
While the manufacturer has not disclosed extensive details regarding the battery and motor specifications of the Flying Flea C6, it has confirmed that the motorcycle will feature cornering ABS, cruise control, and traction control, among various electronic enhancements. Additionally, it will support charging via a standard household three-pin plug. Visuals of the motorcycle indicate the inclusion of advanced technologies such as LED lighting and a digital display.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6: Connected-tech
The electric vehicle was also presented at the Consumer Electronics Show 2025, where the manufacturer announced a collaboration with Qualcomm to facilitate real-time connectivity features on the motorcycles. According to earlier reports, the electric two-wheeler will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon QWM2290 chipset, positioning the Flying Flea as one of the pioneering two-wheeler platforms to integrate connected services technology through the Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud Platform.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6: Market launch
Further information regarding the market introduction and availability of the Flying Flea is expected to be released in the upcoming weeks. However, it is confirmed that the model will be available for purchase sometime in 2026. The company is anticipated to present this model at Motoverse 2024, its annual motorcycle and music festival, taking place later this month. Additionally, the brand has revealed plans for a second model under the Flying Flea name, which will be an electric scrambler.
