The electric two-wheeler market has primarily been led by electric scooters. However, there has recently been a notable increase in the availability of electric motorcycles. One of the pioneers in this sector is Revolt, which has introduced its latest electric commuter motorcycle, the Revolt RV BlazeX. Concurrently, Oben, another brand in the electric motorcycle arena, launched the Obern Rorr EZ in November 2024, which has since experienced a price increase. Below is a brief comparison of these two electric motorcycles.
Revolt RV BlazeX vs Oben Rorr EZ: Design
The Revolt RV BlazeX features a conventional commuter motorcycle design, making it a practical choice for daily riders. While it may not be particularly eye-catching or avant-garde, it includes a round LED headlamp, a spacious seat for enhanced comfort, and a streamlined tail section. This two-wheeler is available in two attractive dual-tone color options: Sterling Silver Black and Eclipse Red Black. Its overall design facilitates easy maneuverability, making it ideal for urban commuting and everyday use.
In contrast, the Oben Rorr EZ showcases a design that merges modern aesthetics with neo-classical influences. It is equipped with a retro-style headlamp and a body that exudes a Cyberpunk-inspired appearance. The Rorr EZ is offered in four color variants: Electro Amber, Surge Cyan, Lumina Green, and Photon White.
Revolt RV BlazeX vs Oben Rorr EZ: Specs and range
The Revolt RV BlazeX is powered by a 3.24 kWh removable battery paired with a 4 kW electric motor. It can reach a top speed of 85 km/h, making it suitable for city travel as well as occasional highway rides. With a range of up to 150 km on a single charge, riders can cover considerable distances without the need for frequent recharging.
Charging is user-friendly, with the battery capable of reaching 80% in just 80 minutes when using a DC fast charger. A complete charge with a standard home charger takes approximately 3.5 hours. The removable battery design offers added convenience, allowing users to charge it at home or work.
The Rorr EZ is notable for its unique LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery technology, which offers a 50 percent enhancement in temperature resistance and boasts a lifespan that is double that of conventional batteries. This feature makes the Rorr EZ highly reliable in the variable climate of India. It is available in three battery pack options: 2.6 kWh, 3.4 kWh, and 4.4 kWh, providing riders with the versatility of power and range, with the top variant capable of reaching up to 175 km (IDC) on a single charge.
The Rorr EZ can achieve a maximum speed of 95 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. It delivers a torque of 52 Nm, which is particularly beneficial in stop-and-go traffic situations. Additionally, it features fast-charging capabilities, allowing riders to charge up to 80 percent in just 45 minutes.
