Renault India Set to Revamp Dealership Experience: Here's How

Renault India announced on Monday the inauguration of its first redesigned dealership in the country, located in Ambattur, Chennai. This dealership aligns with the company's new global architectural standards for its network. If you are considering purchasing a Renault Kwid, Kiger, or Triber, this development may be of interest to you.

Currently, Renault offers only three models in India and does not rank among the leading manufacturers in terms of sales. However, the French automaker aims to create a memorable impression on potential customers visiting its dealerships by providing what it describes as a ‘superior buying experience.’

Referred to as the R Store, this inaugural dealership is designed to deliver a more premium experience for prospective buyers. This initiative reflects Renault's vision for all its global dealerships, emphasizing a modern and urban aesthetic, enhanced seating, and an ‘exceptional service experience.’ According to Venkatram M., Managing Director and Country CEO of Renault India, the opening of the Ambattur dealership signifies a significant milestone in the company's journey within the Indian market. “The launch of the Ambattur dealership marks a pivotal moment in Renault's journey in India," he stated in a press release. "The fact that India became the first country to actualize the new R Store format reaffirms Renault's India strategy. India is at the forefront of Renault's global plans, and soon, the country will witness a completely revamped Renault, offering superior customer experience through acclaimed products, redefined sales experience, and globally acclaimed aftersales services."

The redesigned dealerships will also prioritize the central area for vehicle displays, while the after-sales reception lounge and sales advisor offices will be positioned around the perimeter.

Will this initiative resonate with potential buyers? It remains to be seen.

The selection of appropriate products at optimal times for the intended target audience is essential for achieving success in India's highly competitive passenger vehicle market. Renault, however, has experienced more prosperous periods in the past. Although the Duster SUV continues to be its most recognizable model, others such as the Scala, Lodgy, and Captur have performed poorly. Currently, the Kwid stands as Renault's most economical offering, while the Triber significantly contributes to the brand's performance due to its affordability as a three-row vehicle.
