Ola Electric has maintained the design aesthetic prevalent across its range of electric scooters, albeit with some notable updates. The latest models feature a redesigned grab rail, fresh colour options, new decals, and an elongated seat that is purported to offer enhanced comfort. Additionally, Ola has stated that the overall build quality of the scooters has been improved.

The S1 X will now be available with three battery options: 2 kWh, 3 kWh, and 4 kWh. The peak power output has been raised to 7 kW, enabling a maximum speed of 123 km/h and an IDC range of up to 242 km.
In contrast, the newly introduced S1 X+ features an 11 kW peak power and a top speed of 125 km/h, also achieving an IDC range of up to 242 km. This model is equipped with a single-channel ABS brake at the front and includes a physical key. It is also available in various new colour schemes.
The Ola S1 Pro will offer both 3 kWh and 4 kWh battery options, with an IDC range reaching up to 242 km and a maximum speed of 125 km/h.
The S1 Pro+ emerges as the brand's flagship electric scooter, featuring a dual-channel anti-lock braking system, decorative rim decals, a die-cast grab handle, a two-tone seat, and a powerful 13 kW motor that allows for a top speed of 141 km/h. It will be available with two battery configurations: 5.3 kWh and 4 kWh. The 5.1 kWh battery utilizes Ola's 4680 cells and boasts an impressive IDC range of 320 km, along with new colour options.
3 Ola Gen 3 Platform: Introduction of a New Powertrain
With the launch of the Gen 3 models, Ola has implemented an advanced powertrain system across its entire scooter lineup. All scooters will now feature a mid-drive electric motor, which is reported to be four times more energy-efficient and five times more dependable than the previous hub motor. The new motor also incorporates the Motor Control Unit (MCU), enabling it to deliver a maximum output of up to 13 kW.
Previously, the scooters utilized a belt drive system, which has now been replaced with a chain drive. This transition enhances the energy efficiency of the scooters by 2 per cent and improves acceleration by 10 per cent. Additionally, the chain drive is expected to have a lifespan that is twice as long as that of the belt drive. The torque is anticipated to be greater, and Ola assures that the noise level produced by the chain will be comparable to that of the belt drive.
4. Ola Gen 3 Platform: Implementation of Brake-by-Wire Technology
All vehicles built on the Gen 3 platform will feature a brake-by-wire system, equipped with a one-channel anti-lock braking system. Certain models will also be available with a dual-channel anti-lock braking system. This brake-by-wire technology is designed to enhance the vehicle's range by 15 per cent through the use of regenerative braking, while also extending the lifespan of the brake pads.
5. Ola Gen 3 Platform: Consolidation to a Single Integrated Board
Ola has transitioned from utilizing three separate boards to a single integrated board, which is expected to improve reliability by reducing the number of components. The new board houses a more powerful CPU with built-in support for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), paving the way for future enhancements.
