
Ola Roadster Electric Motorcycle Production Begins Ahead of Deliveries

Bhavish Aggarwal, the CEO of Ola Electric, has announced the initiation of production for the Roadster electric motorcycle. He shared an image of the motorcycle being assembled at their manufacturing facility, accompanied by the caption, "First bikes getting built in the factory today!"
Ola Electric's range of electric motorcycles includes three models: the Roadster X, Roadster, and Roadster Pro, with prices set at ₹74,999, ₹1,04,999, and ₹1,99,999, respectively, all ex-showroom. Bookings for these new electric motorcycles are currently open, and the manufacturer has indicated that deliveries are expected to commence in January 2025. Additionally, Ola has hinted at two forthcoming models, the Sportster and Arrowhead.
Ola Roadster Pro
The Roadster Pro stands as the premier model within its series. It is powered by a motor that generates a maximum output of 52 kW and a torque of 105 Nm. The 16 kWh version of this motorcycle can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 1.2 seconds and from 0 to 60 km/h in 1.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 194 km/h. The 16 kWh battery is certified by IDC to provide a range of 579 km. Furthermore, the Roadster Pro is equipped with a 10-inch TFT touchscreen, USD (upside down) forks, and a two-channel switchable ABS system featuring disc brakes at both the front and rear. It also includes four riding modes—Hyper, Sport, Normal, and Eco—along with two customizable DIY modes.
Ola Roadster
The mid-tier model is designated as the Roadster. Ola claims that the Roadster holds the title of the fastest motorcycle in the commuter segment, powered by a 13 kW motor. It will be offered with three battery capacities: 3.5 kWh, 4.5 kWh, and 6 kWh. This motorcycle achieves a maximum speed of 126 km/h and has a reported range of 248 km, with the 6 kWh version capable of accelerating from 0 to 40 km/h in merely 2 seconds. Riders can select from four distinct riding modes: Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco. Equipped with MoveOS 5, the Roadster features a leading 6.8-inch TFT touchscreen and is enriched with numerous functionalities, including proximity unlock, cruise control, party mode, and tamper alerts, alongside AI-enhanced features such as the Krutrim Assistant, smartwatch application, and road trip planner. The motorcycle is fitted with disc brakes on both the front and rear, supported by advanced single-channel ABS, cornering ABS, and brake-by-wire technology.
Ola Roadster X
The Ola Roadster X will be available with three distinct battery pack options: 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh. It can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in a mere 2.8 seconds and is claimed to have a range of 200 km when fitted with the 4.5 kWh battery. The maximum speed of the Roadster X is 124 km/h. It features a Combi Braking System (CBS) with disc brakes at the front, employing brake-by-wire technology. Additionally, the motorcycle offers three riding modes: Sports, Normal, and Eco. The 4.3-inch LCD segment display, powered by MoveOS 5, includes functionalities such as Ola Maps Navigation (Turn by Turn), advanced regenerative braking, cruise control, Riding Modes, DIY Mode, TPMS alerts, and over-the-air updates. Moreover, the motorcycle is equipped with Digital Key Unlock and can connect with the Ola Electric App.
