Ola Electric Sees 26% Dip in February Sales, Holds Strong as Market Leader

Ola Electric has disclosed its sales figures for February 2025, reporting the sale of 25,000 units, which represents a year-on-year decrease of 25.86 percent compared to the 33,722 units sold in February 2024. Despite this decline in year-on-year sales, the company has successfully retained its leading position in the electric two-wheeler market, holding a 28 percent market share.

The company indicated that it has renegotiated contracts with its vehicle registration agencies, resulting in a temporary reduction in registration numbers on the VAHAN portal for February 2025. This negotiation is intended to lower costs and enhance the efficiency of the registration process. On a month-to-month basis, Ola Electric's sales remained stable, with 24,330 units sold in January 2025. The company attributes this consistent performance to its robust S1 product line and an extensive sales and service network of 4,000 stores across India.

Ola Electric says it's now witnessing a strong uptick in demand in Tier 3 and 4 markets

A representative from Ola Electric Mobility Limited stated, “We have effectively sustained strong sales momentum and our leadership position throughout February. Thanks to our diverse scooter offerings across both mass and premium segments, along with our extensive network of 4,000 stores nationwide, we are now experiencing a significant increase in demand from Tier 3 and Tier 4 towns beyond urban areas. With the deliveries of our Roadster X set to begin next month, we are optimistic about further accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in the two-wheeler category in India.”

In February, Ola Electric launched its Gen 3 S1 electric scooter range, with prices starting at ₹79,999 and reaching up to ₹1.70 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). Additionally, the company unveiled the Roadster X, its first electric motorcycle, with a price range starting from ₹74,999 to ₹1.55 lakh (ex-showroom). Sales for the Ola Roadster X have not yet begun.
