Nitin Gadkari, the Minister for Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), recently inspected the newly introduced Mahindra BE 6 (previously known as BE 6e) and Mahindra XEV 9e electric SUVs at his office in Delhi. He described these domestically produced vehicles as a source of national pride. During the visit, he was welcomed by Dr. Anish Shah, Group CEO and Managing Director of Mahindra Group, who was present alongside the BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs.

Mahindra Born Electric SUVs: What You Need To Know

Mahindra has recently introduced its new 'Born Electric' SUVs, with the BE 6 starting at ₹18.90 lakh and the XEV 9e commencing at ₹21.90 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). The pricing for the entire lineup has yet to be disclosed.

Both vehicles are constructed on the brand's innovative INGLO architecture. The Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e will offer two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. Mahindra claims that the BE 6 can achieve a range of 682 km (MIDC) with the 79 kWh battery, while the XEV 9e is expected to provide a range of 656 km (MIDC) with the same battery capacity. The range specifications for the lower variants remain to be announced.

Mahindra BE 6 & XEV 9e Features

The latest Mahindra XEV 9e boasts an array of advanced features, including a contemporary two-spoke multifunction flat-bottom steering wheel, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a panoramic sunroof, and dual-zone climate control. Additionally, it features a three-screen configuration on the dashboard, which includes a display specifically for the front passenger. This electric SUV is also outfitted with an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), a powerful 1400-watt Harman-Kardon audio system, an Auto Park function, seven airbags, a cabin pre-cooling feature, among other enhancements.

Conversely, the Mahindra BE 6 boasts a cabin design influenced by jet fighters. This feature-rich model includes multi-zone climate control, various driving modes, wireless charging capabilities, a panoramic sunroof, connected car technology, an updated user interface incorporating artificial intelligence, among other amenities.
