Ninety One, a firm dedicated to sustainable transportation, has introduced its newest electric vehicle, the XE Series. This model prioritizes cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and safety, boasting an operational expense of under 15 paise per kilometre, thereby presenting a practical choice for city commuters.

Ninety-One XE Series: Range

The XE Series features a battery that provides a range exceeding 80 kilometres on a single charge, utilizing a lithium-ion battery. Its maximum speed is capped at 25 kilometres per hour, by the regulations governing low-speed electric vehicles.

The XE Series is specifically engineered for regulated riding, featuring a maximum speed limit of 25 km/h, which enhances safety, especially for novice riders.

Ninety-One XE Series: Battery options

The XE Series presents two battery options: a Lithium-ion battery, which is said to deliver a range exceeding 80 km on a single charge, and a Lead Acid battery, offered as a more economical alternative with a comparable range. Both battery types are accompanied by warranties; the Lithium-ion battery is covered for three years, while the Lead Acid battery is warranted for one year.

Ninety-One XE Series: Charging

The EV comes equipped with a 4 AMP charger with automatic cut-off feature. Charging the scooter to 100 per cent capacity takes approximately 7-8 hours (claimed). An option to fast-charge the vehicle has also been included with the scooter for convenience.

Ninety-One XE Series: Features

The scooter is equipped with black alloy wheels and showcases a prominent headlamp positioned at the lower section of the front fascia. The turn indicators are located in the upper portion of the vehicle, both at the front and rear, seamlessly integrated with the tail lamp assembly. Featuring rear suspension, the XE Series is designed to deliver a stable riding experience on uneven road conditions, making it ideal for urban commuting.

Ninety-One XE Series: Pricing and availability

The XE Series is priced at ₹27,999 (inclusive of GST) with additional charges for shipping and handling.
