The latest iteration of the Hero Destini 125 has officially been introduced in India, following our initial test ride of the scooter in September 2024, four months ago. The entry-level VX variant of the new Hero Destini is priced at ₹80,450, while the mid-range ZX variant is available for ₹89,300. The premium Destini 125 ZX+ is offered at a price of ₹90,300. All listed prices are introductory and reflect ex-showroom rates in Delhi.

New Hero Destini 125: What's Changed?

The latest Hero Destini 125 has undergone a comprehensive redesign compared to its predecessor, incorporating a retro aesthetic into its styling. This model introduces several segment-first features, such as an illuminated start switch and auto-cancelling indicators. Hero has filed 30 patent applications related to the new Destini 125. Additional enhancements include an extended seat, improved legroom, and a more spacious floorboard. The scooter is equipped with 12-inch alloy wheels at both the front and rear.

New Hero Destini 125: Specifications

The new Hero Destini 125 is powered by a 124 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 9 bhp at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.4 Nm at 5,500 rpm, coupled with a CVT automatic transmission. According to Hero, the engine has undergone significant modifications, including the introduction of new internal components aimed at enhancing refinement and reducing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels. The scooter features telescopic forks at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear.

For the 2024 model year, the Hero Destini 125 is equipped with a Combined Braking System (CBS) as standard. Additional features include a side-stand engine cut-off, a boot light, a USB charging port, and an external fuel filler.

New Hero Destini 125: Fuel Efficiency

Hero MotoCorp asserts that the new Destini 125 offers a fuel efficiency of 59 km. This model is equipped with i3S start/stop technology, which enhances its mileage. Additionally, it features 19 litres of under-seat storage. The braking system consists of front and rear drum brakes on the base VX variant, while the higher ZX trims are upgraded with a 190 mm front disc brake and chrome accents. Furthermore, the scooter is fitted with a wider rear tyre. The top variants of the Destini also include a digital console with Bluetooth connectivity.

The latest Hero Destini 125 re-enters a fiercely competitive market that includes models such as the TVS Jupiter 125, Honda Activa 125, and Yamaha Fascino 125, among others.
