Skoda has hinted at the upcoming second generation of the Kodiaq SUV through its social media channels, suggesting a launch is on the horizon for the Indian market. The new Skoda Kodiaq was officially revealed in India during the Auto Expo 2025. Subsequently, the Czech manufacturer, part of the Volkswagen Group, phased out the first-generation Kodiaq from its Indian lineup to pave the way for the new model. With the recent teaser, it appears that Skoda is preparing for a swift introduction of the new Kodiaq in India, with expectations for it to reach dealerships by May of this year.

Upon its release, the new generation Skoda Kodiaq, a premium SUV, will be assembled locally at the company's facility in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, to ensure competitive pricing. It will join other models in the lineup, including the Kylaq, Slavia, and Kushaq.

The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq is set to debut as the brand's flagship model in India. This updated version features a notably refreshed design, which includes sleek LED projector headlights and redesigned bumpers. It will be equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels featuring a new design, complemented by rounded wheel arches adorned with black cladding. At the rear, the vehicle will showcase C-shaped LED taillights linked by a stylish LED light bar.

Inside, the new Skoda Kodiaq boasts a reimagined dual-spoke steering wheel, prominently displaying the brand's name. The dashboard features a layered design that emphasizes the use of sustainable materials. The gear shifter is positioned as a stalk behind the steering wheel, creating additional space in the center console, which includes a wireless phone charger and a storage compartment with a retractable lid. Key interior highlights consist of a 13-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch fully digital driver display, and a high-quality audio system. Additional amenities include a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a wireless phone charger, and heated and ventilated front seats.

In terms of safety, the new Kodiaq will be equipped with multiple airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchor points, and hill hold assist. It may also feature advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), incorporating technologies such as automated emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane assist, and parking assist.

Under the hood, the new Kodiaq will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). This engine will deliver power to all four wheels through an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system, producing 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. This indicates that the new generation Kodiaq is more powerful than its predecessor.
