Skoda India is preparing to introduce its latest flagship model, the new Skoda Kodiaq SUV, in the country. Scheduled for launch on April 17, this second-generation version of the premium SUV will be available in two variants: Sportline and L&K.

The new Skoda Kodiaq will offer seven exterior color options: Velvet Red Metallic, Race Blue Metallic, Graphite Grey Metallic, Magic Black Metallic, Moon White Metallic, Bronx Gold Metallic, and Steel Grey. The entry-level Sportline and the high-end L&K variants will feature the exclusive Bronx Gold Metallic and Steel Grey colors.

Under the hood, the new generation Skoda Kodiaq will be equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission. This SUV will come standard with a 4x4 drivetrain. The engine is designed to deliver a peak power of 201 bhp and a maximum torque of 320 Nm, providing an increase of 14 bhp compared to the previous Kodiaq model. Additionally, Skoda has announced that the new Kodiaq will achieve a fuel efficiency of 14.86 kmpl.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Design

 The latest generation of the Skoda Kodiaq was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2025 earlier this year, providing a glimpse of the forthcoming SUV. This new Kodiaq embodies the modern and robust design philosophy of the Czech automaker. Key exterior enhancements include a striking butterfly grille, more streamlined angular headlights accompanied by fog lights, and reimagined rear lights that incorporate a distinctive light strip across the tailgate.

This second-generation SUV has a length of 4,758 mm, representing an increase of 61 mm compared to its predecessor. Its width has been slightly reduced to 1,864 mm, and its height has been lowered to 1,659 mm. Nevertheless, the wheelbase remains consistent at 2,971 mm. Additionally, the Kodiaq is equipped with newly designed alloy wheels, available in sizes ranging from 17 to 20 inches.

2025 Skoda Kodiaq: Features

 The latest Kodiaq is outfitted with a range of cutting-edge features. Among the highlights are a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, and a heads-up display. Skoda has introduced its innovative Smart Dial configuration, which features three rotary knobs positioned beneath the infotainment screen, facilitating intuitive control over various functions. Additional premium offerings include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 14-speaker Canton audio system, ambient lighting, power-adjustable front seats with heating and cooling options, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging capabilities, and several USB Type-C ports.

In terms of safety, the new Kodiaq is equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that provide features such as lane-keeping assistance and adaptive cruise control. It also includes up to nine airbags, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), hill hold control, and hill descent assist, all designed to enhance passenger safety and support driving across diverse terrains.
