VLF India has hinted at the launch of a new electric scooter through its social media platforms, sparking speculation about a forthcoming electric vehicle. Although the company has not disclosed specific details regarding the product, it has announced that the new model is set to debut on April 2. This upcoming scooter may be a more budget-friendly variant of the VLF Tennis 1500 W, which is currently the sole electric scooter available for purchase in India. Alternatively, it could be the Tennis 4000 W, a more powerful model with an extended range that is offered in international markets. There is also the possibility that it could be a special edition of the Tennis 1500 W.

The teaser image shared by the two-wheeler manufacturer features only the LED taillight of the new scooter, which closely resembles that of the VLF Tennis 1500 W. Notably, the VLF Tennis 4000 W also sports a similar LED taillight. Additionally, the image includes the Milano branding. Accompanying the teaser is a caption that states, “Something sleek, something bold, something Italian.”

The VLF Tennis 1500 W was introduced in India in November of the previous year. With a price tag of ₹1.29 lakh (ex-showroom), this retro-styled electric scooter is offered in three color variants: Snowflake White, Fire Fury Dark Red, and Slate Gray.

The VLF Tennis 1500 W is equipped with a 2.5 kWh battery pack, which provides a range of up to 130 kilometers on a single charge. Its electric powertrain allows it to reach a maximum speed of 65 km/h, and it takes three hours to achieve a full charge.

In contrast, the Tennis 4000 W electric scooter, available in international markets, produces a maximum torque of 232 Nm and can reach speeds of up to 100 km/h. It features a 2.8 kWh battery pack, enabling a range of up to 100 kilometers when driven at a speed of 40 km/h. Charging the battery fully takes between five to six hours.
