Ducati has officially introduced the XDiavel V4 to the global market, positioning it as a sport cruiser that complements the existing Diavel V4. The previous iteration of the XDiavel, based on the 1260 configuration, was available for purchase in 2023. The new XDiavel V4 is expected to reach dealerships in May 2025, although there has been no announcement regarding its launch in India at this time.

What powers the Ducati XDiavel V4?

Similar to the standard Diavel, the XDiavel V4 is equipped with a 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, delivering a maximum power output of 168 bhp at 10,750 rpm and a peak torque of 126 Nm at 7,500 rpm. It features a 6-speed transmission along with a quick shifter. Riders can choose from four power modes: Sport, Touring, Urban, and Wet. Ducati specifies that the engine requires a valve clearance inspection every 60,000 km.

How does the Ducati XDiavel V4 differ?

In contrast to the standard Diavel V4, the XDiavel V4 is designed as a cruiser. It showcases the characteristic sleek lines typical of cruisers, extending from the fuel tank to the seat. The handlebars are positioned lower and set back, while the seat height is 770 mm, featuring a thicker and larger design. Additionally, there are two customizable riding positions available. The motorcycle is equipped with a single-sided swingarm that supports a substantial 240/45 tyre. Front and rear LED lighting is included, complete with a welcome effect.

What is the hardware on the Ducati XDiavel V4?

The suspension system is comprised of inverted forks at the front, providing 50 mm of travel, along with a fully adjustable monoshock at the rear. The braking system features dual 330 mm discs at the front, equipped with Brembo Stylema monobloc callipers, and a single disc at the rear.

The Ducati XDiavel V4 is equipped with a 6.9-inch TFT display that includes Bluetooth connectivity and is compatible with the Ducati Link app, offering turn-by-turn navigation. It boasts a state-of-the-art electronics suite that incorporates a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (6D IMU), which enables features such as ABS Cornering, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Ducati Power Launch (DPL), Ducati Quick Shift for both up and downshifts (DQS), and Cruise Control.
