Massive Year-End Discounts on Skoda Superb

As the year draws to a close, numerous automotive manufacturers have begun to implement year-end discounts and promotions aimed at reducing their inventory of MY23 passenger vehicles. Among these, the Skoda Superb stands out with significant price reductions. The Czech manufacturer, part of the Volkswagen Group, is currently providing its premium sedan with incentives totaling up to ₹18 lakh. This premium sedan, which competes with the Toyota Camry, is marketed in India through the Completely Built Unit (CBU) method and these offers are available for a limited time. The benefits may differ based on stock availability.

In India, the Skoda Superb is offered in a single variant, the high-end L&K trim, with a starting price of ₹54 lakh (ex-showroom). The manufacturer is providing advantages in the form of cash discounts and insurance offers. When these are applied, the effective price of the Skoda Superb can drop to as low as ₹36 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, the discounted price of the Skoda Superb allows for the purchase of the top-spec variant of the Skoda Slavia sedan at a similar price point.

This promotion for the Skoda Superb coincides with the recent launch of the new generation Toyota Camry in India, which is priced at ₹48 lakh (ex-showroom).

Additionally, Skoda has announced an impending price increase for models such as the Slavia, Kushaq, and Kodiaq, which will take effect in January 2025, with hikes of up to three percent. However, the newly introduced Skoda Kylaq SUV will not experience a price increase next month. The company has attributed this price adjustment to rising production and operational costs stemming from increased raw material prices.

Skoda is not alone in this regard, as several other manufacturers, including Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Kia, along with luxury brands such as BMW, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz, have also declared price increases for their respective models, effective from next month.
