In March, the automotive market is set to witness a significant influx of electric vehicles, with as many as six new models anticipated to debut. This lineup includes Maruti's inaugural electric car, alongside high-end options such as the Mercedes Maybach SL 680. Consumers will have a selection of at least five electric vehicles to choose from. The introduction of these new models in India will commence in the first week of the month, starting with the facelifted Volvo XC90 SUV. Below is an overview of the forthcoming vehicles expected to launch over the next four weeks.
Volvo XC90 facelift:
The Swedish automotive manufacturer is poised to take the lead in the market this March with the launch of the refreshed XC90 SUV. The updated version of its most expensive SUV will be revealed on March 4. This represents the second major upgrade for the model since its initial release in 2014. It competes with other luxury SUVs, including the Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5, Audi Q7, and Lexus UX 350h.
The facelifted XC90 SUV is anticipated to feature several cosmetic enhancements compared to its predecessor. These modifications will encompass a redesigned front grille, updated LED daytime running lights, a new front bumper, LED taillights, and a fresh design for the alloy wheels. The interior will also see improvements, including a new 11.2-inch infotainment touchscreen, among other updates. Under the hood, Volvo will eliminate the diesel engine option and retain the 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The production version of the e Vitara was first unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January.
