Maruti Suzuki is fully prepared to participate in India's premier automotive exhibition, the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This event is scheduled to take place at the Bharat Mandapam from January 17 to January 22, 2025, and will feature nearly every automobile manufacturer currently operating in the country. In line with other manufacturers, Maruti Suzuki will also present its forthcoming electric vehicle model.

Maruti Suzuki at Bharat Mobility: e Vitara

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara represents one of the initial electric vehicles introduced by the manufacturer on a global scale. While the e Vitara has recently been presented in international markets, it is set to make its entry into the Indian market following its exhibition at this expo.

The e Vitara is the production version of the Maruti Suzuki eVX concept, which was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023. This forthcoming model will be constructed on the manufacturer’s Heartect-e platform, specifically designed for electric vehicles. It is anticipated that the e Vitara will be available in both 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery pack configurations in India, although the manufacturer has yet to provide official confirmation regarding this.

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara SUV, which is available globally, generates 172 bhp and 189 Nm of torque in its two-wheel drive configuration when equipped with the larger 61 kW battery. In contrast, the four-wheel drive variant utilizing the same battery delivers approximately 300 Nm of peak torque. However, when fitted with the smaller 41 kWh battery pack, the SUV is limited to a two-wheel drive system, producing 142 bhp and 189 Nm of torque.

Maruti Suzuki at Bharat Mobility: ‘e for Me’

Maruti Suzuki has recently revealed its intention to introduce its electric mobility initiative, titled ‘e for Me,’ at the forthcoming auto show. The automaker aims to launch a total of six electric vehicles by the fiscal year 2031.

This strategic plan encompasses the creation of an ecosystem that integrates electric vehicles, advanced technology, and a comprehensive charging infrastructure. The manufacturer is also focused on establishing new facilities to facilitate the adoption of electric vehicles, thereby ensuring a seamless ownership experience for EV users.
