India's leading automobile manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, has declared an increase in prices across its entire range of models. In a formal communication to the stock exchanges, the company indicated that the new pricing structure will take effect on February 1. The price adjustments for Maruti vehicles will vary between ₹1,500 and ₹32,500, depending on the specific model. This marks the first instance this year in which the company has enacted a comprehensive price increase across its offerings.
In December of the previous year, Maruti Suzuki had announced plans to raise car prices by as much as four percent. The company attributed this decision to escalating input costs and operational expenses, which necessitated passing some of the financial burden onto consumers starting this year. Maruti Suzuki has now officially disclosed the extent of the price increases that will be applied to its vehicles in the upcoming month.
