The production version of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is set to be unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The Suzuki e Vitara initially made its global appearance at an international event held in Milan. To date, the e Vitara has only been presented in its concept form, previously referred to as the eVX. It is anticipated that Maruti Suzuki will introduce the e Vitara to the Indian market by mid-2025.
Additionally, Maruti Suzuki has announced plans to establish new charging stations. This initiative will encompass home charging solutions as well as a comprehensive network of fast chargers located at Maruti Suzuki dealerships and service centers across the country. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing & Sales at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, stated, “Our objective is to make electric vehicles accessible, convenient, and attractive to a wider range of customers, which is precisely what we aim to accomplish with the e Vitara.”
Which platform will Maruti Suzuki use for e Vitara?
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is built on the HEARTECT-e platform, which has been tailored specifically for battery electric vehicles. This platform features a lightweight structure that includes high-voltage protection and a compact overhang, allowing for a spacious interior. Furthermore, Suzuki highlights that the battery capacity has been enhanced by eliminating underfloor components from the main floor of the platform. The design also positions the wheels at the corners.
