Maruti Suzuki Holds Steady in February 2025 with Popular Trio Leading Sales

Maruti Suzuki India announced on Saturday a modest increase in total sales, reaching 199,400 units in February 2025. According to a recent statement from the manufacturer, this figure represents a rise from the 197,471 vehicles dispatched during the same month last year, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 0.97 percent. Domestic passenger vehicle sales also saw a slight increase, climbing to 174,379 units from 168,544 units in February of the previous year.

However, sales in the mini-segment, which includes models like the Alto and S-Presso, experienced a decline, dropping to 10,226 units from 14,782 units in the same month last year. In contrast, compact car sales, encompassing the Baleno, Swift, and Dzire, saw a small uptick, increasing to 72,942 units from 71,627 units in the corresponding period last year.

Utility vehicles, such as the Brezza, Ertiga, and Fronx, achieved total sales of 65,033 units last month, compared to 61,234 units sold in February 2024.

Sales of vans reached 11,493 units in February 2025, down from 12,147 units in the same month last year, indicating a decrease of 654 units. The total sales of the light commercial vehicle Super Carry were recorded at 2,710 units, a decline from 3,126 units in February 2024.

Additionally, Maruti Suzuki reported a decrease in total exports, which fell to 25,021 units last month from 28,927 units in the same period last year.
