The Maruti Suzuki Celerio lineup has received an update, now featuring six airbags as standard equipment. This enhancement positions the Celerio as the most economical vehicle in India to offer six airbags as standard. However, this improved safety feature has resulted in an increase in the vehicle's price.

The base LXi variant of the Celerio has experienced a price increase of ₹27,500, bringing the starting price to ₹5.64 lakh, ex-showroom. The VXi MT and VXi CNG MT variants have seen a price rise of ₹16,000, while the VXi AMT variant has increased by ₹21,000. Additionally, the ZXi MT and ZXi+ MT variants have also been raised by ₹27,500. Notably, the prices for the ZXi AMT remain unchanged, whereas the ZXi+ AMT has increased by ₹32,500, resulting in a top-spec Celerio priced at ₹7.37 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki Celerio: Specifications

This entry-level hatchback is equipped with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder K-Series petrol engine, delivering 66 bhp and 89 Nm of peak torque, and is available with both a 5-speed manual and an AMT transmission. The same engine powers the CNG variants in a detuned configuration, producing 56 bhp and 82.1 Nm of peak torque, and is paired exclusively with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Celerio is recognized for its fuel efficiency, with the petrol-manual variant achieving up to 25.24 km, while the petrol-AMT variant offers up to 26.68 km. The CNG variant boasts a fuel efficiency of 34.43 km/kg, with all figures certified by ARAI.

The premium versions of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio are outfitted with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes smartphone navigation capabilities. This system is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, the hatchback features keyless entry, a push-button start-stop mechanism, and various other enhancements. In terms of safety, it is equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, reverse parking sensors, and Hill Hold Assist specifically for the AMT variants.
