The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has emerged as the most economical vehicle in India, now distinguished as the most affordable model in the nation to feature six airbags as standard equipment. This title was previously held by the Maruti Suzuki Celerio, which received an update to include six airbags as standard in February 2025. Following this update, the pricing for the Alto K10 has seen a slight increase, with the starting price now at ₹4.23 lakh, ex-showroom, while the top variant is priced at ₹6.21 lakh, also ex-showroom.

The Maruti Suzuki Swift was the first model from the manufacturer to offer six airbags as standard, followed by the Dzire, which debuted in November 2024. In 2025, the company further enhanced the Celerio and Brezza lineups by incorporating six airbags as standard. In addition to the six airbags, the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is equipped with an Electronic Stability Program, rear parking sensors, an anti-lock braking system, electronic brake distribution, and three-point seatbelts.

Maruti Suzuki Alto K10: Specs

Maruti Suzuki has retained the engine specifications of the Alto K10 without any modifications. The vehicle is equipped with a 998 cc, three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that generates a maximum power of 65 bhp at 5,500 rpm and delivers a peak torque of 89 Nm at 3,500 rpm. This engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT).

Additionally, Maruti Suzuki provides a CNG variant for the Alto K10. When operating on CNG, the power output is reduced to 55 bhp at 5,300 rpm, with a peak torque of 82.1 Nm at 3,400 rpm. This variant is exclusively available with a 5-speed manual gearbox, as there is no automatic transmission option for the CNG model.

Maruti Suzuki Alto K10: Features

The Alto K10 features 13-inch steel wheels on its exterior and is offered in six distinct colour options. Inside, it is equipped with a 7-inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Additional features include remote key access, electrically adjustable outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs), and steering-mounted controls, among others.
