Mahindra secures ₹2,700 crore contract to deliver 1,986 Scorpio Pik-Ups to the Indian Army  

The Mahindra Scorpio Pik-Up is set to become part of the Indian Armed Forces. Mahindra Automotive has announced that it has finalized a ₹2,700 crore agreement with the Indian Army for the supply of 1,986 Scorpio Pik-Ups. Notably, this contract brings the total number of Scorpio Pik-Ups, Scorpio Classics, Scorpio-N, and Bolero Pik-Up 4WDs supplied by the company to over 4,000 units. Additionally, the Indian Army will also have access to more than 7,000 Mahindra Scorpio SUVs. Earlier this month, it was reported that 2,978 units of the Force Gurkha will be integrated into the Indian Armed Forces' fleet.

Volkswagen Tiguan officially delisted, makes space for Tiguan R-Line

Volkswagen India has removed the Tiguan from its official website in anticipation of the launch of the new generation Tiguan R-Line in the country. The Tiguan, which has been delisted, was previously offered in India exclusively in the Elegance trim, priced at ₹38.16 lakh (ex-showroom). This model served as the flagship vehicle for the German automaker in India. It was equipped with a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine, which was mated to a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission, delivering a peak power of 187 bhp and a maximum torque of 320 Nm.

VLF India teases new electric scooter, launch on April 2

VLF India has teased a new electric scooter on its social media platforms, sparking speculation about a new electric vehicle. Although the company has not disclosed specific details about the product, it has announced that the new model will be launched on April 2. This upcoming scooter may be a more budget-friendly variant of the VLF Tennis 1500 W, which is currently the only electric scooter available in India. Alternatively, it could be the Tennis 4000 W, a more powerful and longer-range electric scooter offered in international markets. There is also the possibility that it could be a special edition of the Tennis 1500 W.
