Mahindra & Mahindra is actively launching new electric vehicles, with the XUV.e8 (XEV 7e) anticipated to debut at the forthcoming Auto Expo 2025 during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Prior to its official presentation, a new video has surfaced online, revealing details about the Mahindra XEV 7e electric SUV. This model will be built on the well-regarded Mahindra XUV700 platform and will closely resemble its internal combustion engine counterpart.

Mahindra XEV 7e: What To Expect?

The leaked video offers an in-depth preview of the forthcoming Mahindra XEV 7e, which closely resembles the XUV700, with the exception of its updated front design. The aesthetics align more closely with the XEV 9e, which was introduced late last year. The video highlights the L-shaped connected daytime running lights (DRLs) paired with split headlamps. Additionally, the vehicle features aerodynamically optimized alloy wheels and redesigned LED taillights. The front of the XEV 7e is adorned with the 'Infinity' logo.

Inside, the cabin showcases a sophisticated black-and-white dual-tone color scheme. The seats are upholstered in white, a trend that is becoming increasingly prevalent in modern Mahindra vehicles. It is anticipated that the model will include a dual-screen arrangement featuring 12.3-inch displays for both the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system, along with a new twin-spoke steering wheel that bears the illuminated 'Infinity' logo from the XEV 9e. The XEV 7e will maintain a three-row layout, complete with captain seats in the second row.

Additional features are expected to encompass an electrically adjustable driver's seat, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, multi-zone automatic climate control, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, and more.

The Mahindra XEV 7e is likely to retain the three-row setup from the XUV700 with a white and black dual-tone interior theme

Currently, Mahindra has not disclosed specifics regarding the battery pack or the electric motor. It is possible that this model will offer the same battery pack options as the XEV 9e, which includes units of 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The larger battery pack is expected to deliver ranges of 542 km and 656 km (MIDC Phase I+II), and similar performance figures can be anticipated for the XEV 7e.

Although the BE 6 (previously known as BE 6e) and XEV 9e are generating considerable excitement within Mahindra’s electric vehicle lineup, the forthcoming XEV 7e may present a more practical choice for prospective buyers. Pricing is expected to be around ₹20 lakh, positioning it competitively against the forthcoming Tata Safari EV, as well as the new Hyundai Creta Electric and Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, all of which are slated for launch at Auto Expo 2025.

We will provide comprehensive coverage of Bharat Mobility 2025, so please stay tuned for the latest updates.
