What are the engine options of the Mahindra XUV700?
The XUV700 offers two engine choices: a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The petrol variant produces a maximum output of 197 bhp at 5,000 rpm and generates a peak torque of 380 Nm, available between 1,750 rpm and 3,000 rpm. Both engine options can be equipped with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The diesel engine achieves a maximum power of 182 bhp at 3,500 rpm, delivering a torque of 420 Nm when paired with the manual transmission and 450 Nm with the automatic option.
In the MX trim, the diesel engine is modified to produce 152 bhp at 3,750 rpm, along with a peak torque of 360 Nm. This variant is offered solely with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Mahindra is developing a distinctive Black Edition of the XUV700. The company has shared a teaser of the SUV on its social media platforms, with an official launch scheduled for March 17th.
The new XUV700 Black Edition will primarily consist of aesthetic upgrades when compared to the current model. Expect an exterior that boasts a completely black finish, enhanced by dark chrome details on the grille and window trim. The alloy wheels will also feature an exclusive black design.
Inside, the vehicle will present a unified all-black theme, incorporating leatherette upholstery, a black headliner, and coordinating stitching. Additionally, a smoked chrome surround will be included. These modifications are reminiscent of those found in the recently unveiled Scorpio N Carbon Edition, indicating that similar enhancements will be featured in the XUV700.
