Similar to its counterpart, the Mahindra XEV 9e, this model is outfitted with seven airbags and a Level 2 ADAS system.

In addition to Mahindra, Tata Motors, another prominent Indian automotive manufacturer, has also made significant strides in the electric vehicle market. The Tata Punch EV has achieved a full five-star rating in the BNCAP crash test. Tested in June 2024, this electric SUV scored 31.46 points out of 32 for AOP and 45 out of 49 for COP. The Tata Punch EV is equipped with a wide array of safety features, including six standard airbags, hill climb assist, and a 360-degree camera, among others.

The Tata Curvv EV stands as the flagship electric vehicle from Tata Motors, tested alongside the Tata Curvv ICE. Undergoing crash testing in October 2024, the Tata Curvv EV received a five-star rating from Bharat NCAP. It scored 30.81 points out of 32 for AOP and 44.83 out of 49 for COP. This electric SUV is equipped with essential safety features, including six standard airbags and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.

5 Tata Nexon EV

The Tata Nexon EV stands out as one of the top-selling electric vehicles in India, having undergone crash testing by Bharat NCAP in the first half of the previous year, where it received an impressive 5-star safety rating. It was among the initial electric vehicles to be evaluated by Bharat NCAP since its establishment. The electric SUV achieved a score of 30.81 out of 32 for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 44.83 out of 49 for Child Occupant Protection (COP).6 Mahindra XUV 400

The Mahindra XUV 400 electric SUV is another notable entry in this category. It has also been subjected to crash testing by Bharat NCAP, where it earned a five-star safety rating. Among its safety features are six airbags, hill hold assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system, among others.
