Mahindra has initiated the booking process for its all-electric SUVs, the BE 6 and the XEV 9e, coinciding with Valentine's Day and reflecting the brand's theme of ‘Unlimited love’. Prospective customers can secure their bookings either online through the official Mahindra website or in person at their nearest dealership.

The BE 6, designed for performance, has a starting ex-showroom price of ₹19.4 lakhs, while its larger counterpart, the XEV 9e, is priced at ₹22.4 lakhs (ex-showroom). Additionally, Mahindra is providing various flexible payment options for the higher-spec models.

In a span of just two months following the price announcement, Mahindra has delivered 1,837 units of the XEV 9e and BE 6 electric SUVs. The total production of these vehicles has reached 2,281 units, with plans for increased output in the forthcoming months.

Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e: Performance and Range  

Despite the differences in features and design between the XEV 9e and BE 6e, both models utilize the same powertrain. The Mahindra INGLO architecture supports two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) units. Initially, both the XEV 9e and BE 6e will be equipped with the 59 kWh battery pack.

Mahindra states that the BE 6e can charge from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in merely 20 minutes when utilizing a 175 kW DC fast charger. While the range for the 59 kWh battery pack has not yet been disclosed, the 79 kWh variant is reported to achieve a range of 682 km based on ARAI testing. The smaller battery produces 228 bhp, whereas the larger 79 kWh version delivers 278 bhp. Importantly, both battery options maintain a consistent torque output of 380 Nm.

Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e: Deliveries  

Deliveries for the Pack Three variant of both models are expected to commence in mid-March 2025. Meanwhile, deliveries for the Pack Three Select and Pack Two variants will begin in June and July 2025, respectively. The entry-level variants, One and One Above, are scheduled for delivery starting in August 2025.
