
Mahindra BE 6 & XEV 9e Deliveries Set to Begin Soon – What You Need to Know!

The delivery of the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e is expected to commence shortly. The company previously announced its intention to start delivering both electric vehicles by mid-March 2025. These EVs were officially launched in November 2024. On the first day of bookings, Mahindra reported receiving over 30,000 orders, with a distribution of 56 percent for the XEV 9e and 44 percent for the BE 6. The total registered booking value reached ₹8,472 crores (based on ex-showroom prices) on that initial day.
Notably, during the first phase in mid-March, the company plans to deliver only the top-spec versions of both electric SUVs, referred to as Pack Three. Subsequently, deliveries of the Pack Three Select variant for both models will begin in June 2025, followed by the Pack Two variant in July 2025. Deliveries of the Pack One versions of the BE 6 and XEV 9e, along with the Pack One Above variant of the BE 6, are scheduled to start in August.
Mahindra BE 6: Features
The Mahindra BE 6 features a dual-screen configuration, each measuring 12.3 inches, with one serving as the infotainment display and the other as the instrument cluster. These screens are designed in a floating style on the dashboard. Additional features include a two-spoke steering wheel, an illuminated logo, and a spacious sunroof. The SUV is also equipped with a 16-speaker audio system, an automatic parking function, an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, and a 360-degree camera.
Mahindra XEV 9e: Features
The Mahindra XEV 9e features an extensive triple-screen configuration that occupies a significant area of the dashboard. This setup includes three 12.3-inch displays, all powered by Mahindra's Adrenox software, which integrates the touchscreen infotainment system with the driver's display seamlessly. The twin-spoke multifunction steering wheel of this SUV is embellished with an illuminated logo. Other notable features include a wireless smartphone charging pad, a 16-speaker audio system, a panoramic sunroof, automatic parking assistance, and a comprehensive Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite.
Specifications of Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e
Although the features and design elements differ between the XEV 9e and the BE 6, both models share the same powertrain. The Mahindra INGLO architecture accommodates two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) units. Mahindra asserts that both electric SUVs can achieve a charge level from 20 percent to 80 percent in just 20 minutes when utilizing a 175 kW DC fast charger.
The Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e equipped with the smaller 59 kWh battery pack deliver a maximum output of 230 bhp, while those with the larger 79 kWh battery pack generate 285 bhp.
The torque remains consistent across both electric SUVs at 380 Nm, irrespective of the selected battery pack. Both models will feature a rear-wheel-drive configuration and will offer various driving modes, including Range, Everyday, and Race. Additionally, there will be a Boost mode and a One-pedal drive mode available.
