Mahindra is set to commence bookings for its newly launched electric SUVs, the BE 6 and the XEV 9e, on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2025. The manufacturer has also recently disclosed the delivery timelines for both models. Deliveries for the Pack Three variant of each vehicle are expected to start in mid-March 2025.

In contrast, deliveries for the Pack Three Select and Pack Two variants are scheduled to begin in June and July 2025, respectively. The entry-level variants, known as One and One Above, will see deliveries commence in August 2025.

Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e: Performance and range

Regarding performance and range, although the features and designs of the XEV 9e and BE 6e differ, they share the same powertrain. Both models utilize the Mahindra INGLO architecture, which offers two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) units. Initially, both the XEV 9e and BE 6e will be available with the 59 kWh battery pack.

Mahindra asserts that the BE 6e can achieve a charge from 20 percent to 80 percent in merely 20 minutes when using a 175 kW DC fast charger. While the range for the 59 kWh battery pack has yet to be disclosed, the 79 kWh variant is reported to deliver a range of 682 km, as verified by ARAI. The smaller battery pack is rated at 228 bhp, whereas the larger 79 kWh version produces 278 bhp. The torque output remains consistent across both battery options at 380 Nm.

Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e: Pricing announced

Mahindra has announced the pricing for the BE 6 and XEV 9e models. Built on the INGLO platform, these SUVs incorporate cutting-edge technology that has garnered international attention. They come equipped with features such as adaptive dampening, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), and a choice of dual or triple screens, depending on the selected model, all at highly competitive price points. The Mahindra BE 6 starts at ₹18.90 lakh and can reach up to ₹26.90 lakh (ex-showroom), while the XEV 9e begins at ₹21.90 lakh and goes up to ₹30.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The BE 6 will be available in five trim levels, whereas the XEV 9e will be offered in four distinct trims.
