Mahindra's BE 6 represents a significant advancement in the Indian automaker's electrification efforts. Although the electric vehicle was officially launched in November 2024, the pricing for the entry-level variant featuring a 59 kWh battery pack has been revealed, starting at ₹18.90 lakh, ex-showroom.

In January 2025, the company disclosed the pricing for the premium variant equipped with a larger 79 kWh battery pack, which is set at ₹26.70 lakh, ex-showroom. Notably, customers will initially have access only to the pack's three variants. During the announcement of the top-tier pricing, Mahindra also introduced the 'three for me' initiative.

Through the 'three for me' initiative, Mahindra has collaborated with Mahindra Finance to enhance the accessibility of these high-end electric vehicles. Under this program, customers can acquire the BE 6 pack three with a monthly EMI of ₹39,224, which closely resembles the payment for the base pack one variant. However, there are specific conditions.

The 'three for me' initiative stipulates that while the BE 6 is available at a monthly EMI of ₹39,224, customers must make a down payment of up to 15.5 per cent. Additionally, at the conclusion of the sixth year, customers will be required to make a balloon payment of ₹4.65 lakh.

This arrangement effectively raises the ex-showroom cost of the Mahindra BE 6 Pack Three to over ₹35 lakh. According to the program, customers are expected to pay 15.5 per cent of the ex-showroom price, which is ₹26.90 lakh, amounting to ₹4.16 lakh. The financing plan allows customers to pay a monthly EMI of ₹39,224 for a duration of 72 months, totalling ₹28.24 lakh. At the end of the six-year term, customers will also need to settle a balloon payment of ₹4.65 lakh.

Mahindra BE 6e: Feature

The Mahindra BE 6e features a dual-screen configuration, each measuring 12.3 inches, with one serving as the infotainment display and the other as the instrument cluster. Notably, these screens are positioned on the dashboard in a floating design. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a two-spoke steering wheel, an illuminated logo, and an expansive sunroof. Other notable amenities include a 16-speaker audio system, an automatic parking feature, an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, and a 360-degree camera.

Mahindra BE 6e: Powertrain and battery

The XEV 9e and the BE 6e exhibit differences in their features and design; however, they share the same powertrain. Both models utilize the Mahindra INGLO architecture, which offers two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) units. Initially, the BE 6e will also be available with a 59 kWh battery pack, similar to the XEV 9e.

Mahindra asserts that the BE 6e can achieve a charge from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in merely 20 minutes when connected to a 175 kW DC fast charger. Although the range for the 59 kWh battery pack has not yet been disclosed, the 79 kWh variant is reported to deliver a range of 682 km, as verified by ARAI.

The smaller battery pack is designed to generate 228 bhp, while the larger 79 kWh version produces 278 bhp. Notably, the torque output remains consistent across both battery pack options, rated at 380 Nm.
