JSW MG Motor India is all-set to launch the Windsor EV in the Indian market on September 11. It will be the third electric vehicle in the brand's portfolio and will sit between the Comet EV and the ZS EV. The brand has now released a new teaser in which the electric vehicle can be seen tackling rough terrains.

Several features have been officially confirmed for the forthcoming Windsor EV, including LED lighting components, Daytime Running Lights, and lightbars positioned at both the front and rear. The door handles are designed to be flush with the vehicle's bodywork, enhancing its aerodynamic efficiency.

Inside the cabin, a two-spoke steering wheel will serve as a multifunctional unit, complemented by a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, black upholstery, and a reclining function that allows for a 135-degree angle. Additional features will include a touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as a digital instrument cluster.

In international markets, the MG Windsor EV is referred to as the Cloud EV. Recently, HT Auto provided an extensive overview of the model during the Indonesian Auto Show held last month. This electric vehicle showcases a crossover design, featuring dual charging inlets on either side, streamlined headlight units, cameras positioned around the vehicle, and is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels.

MG Windsor EV: Battery and range

The MG Windsor EV is anticipated to feature a 50.6 kWh LFP battery pack, which is projected to provide a range of approximately 460 km on a full charge. This model will include fast charging capabilities, enabling the vehicle to be charged from 30% to 100% in just 30 minutes. The Windsor EV is expected to be powered by a single electric motor, delivering around 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque.

It is expected that the MG Windsor EV will be competing against the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400 and Tata Curvv EV.
