The MG Majestor is set to be the flagship model featuring an internal combustion engine from JSW MG Motor India. This SUV was initially unveiled at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Auto Expo. Recently, the seven-seater SUV was seen undergoing tests on Indian roads without any camouflage. The MG Majestor will be positioned above the MG Gloster in the lineup.
The MG Majestor is derived from the Maxus D90 SUV, which is available in several international markets. It boasts a prominent front grille finished in gloss black. The vehicle features a split-headlamp configuration, with the LED Daytime Running Lights located above and the main headlamp cluster integrated vertically into the bumper. Additionally, it is equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels that have a diamond-cut finish. Other significant design features include dual exhaust outlets, connected tail lamps with a wraparound style, and robust skid plates.
MG Majestor: Specifications
Currently, the brand has not disclosed the specifications for the MG Majestor. However, it is anticipated that it will feature the same engine as the Gloster. This means it will likely be equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 158.7 bhp and a peak torque of 373.5 Nm. Additionally, there is a twin-turbo diesel variant available, which generates 212.5 bhp and 478.5 Nm of maximum torque. The vehicle will be paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Power can be directed to either the rear wheels or all wheels through a 4x4 system.
MG Majestor: Features
As anticipated with any vehicle from JSW MG Motor India, the Majestor is equipped with an array of features. It includes a prominent 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a newly designed all-digital instrument cluster for the driver, which displays comprehensive information and offers various customization options.
The interior of the cabin showcases a sleek all-black design, equipped with amenities including a wireless phone charger, an electric tailgate, a high-quality sound system, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake, auto hold functionality, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
MG Majestor: Price and rivals
The MG Majestor is anticipated to command a higher price than the Gloster due to its design modifications. The starting price for the Majestor is projected to be ₹45 lakh, excluding showroom charges. Once introduced, this new seven-seater will compete with the Toyota Fortuner Legender and the Nissan X-Trail.
