JSW MG Motor India has commenced the acceptance of bookings for its all-electric sports car, the Cyberster. This electric vehicle was initially presented in India during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and is set to be available for purchase in the Indian market in the upcoming months. The Cyberster will be offered for sale through the newly established MG Select dealerships by JSW MG Motor India.

What are the specifications of the MG Cyberster?

The two-seater electric roadster features dual electric motors, each dedicated to powering one axle, thereby facilitating power distribution across all four wheels. It is expected that the vehicle will deliver a peak power output of 528 bhp and a maximum torque of 725 Nm. According to the manufacturer, the MG Cyberster can accelerate from a complete stop to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The energy source for the MG Cyberster is a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which is capable of providing a range of up to 570 km on a single charge.

In the international market, the brand also offers a rear-wheel drive variant that is fitted with a 64 kWh battery pack, boasting a claimed range of 519 km. The electric motor in this version is rated to achieve a maximum power output of 295 bhp.

What are the features of the MG Cyberster?

The MG Cyberster is notable for its fully digital triple-screen setup, which serves as a key unique selling point within the interior. This arrangement includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, and an additional display that seamlessly connects the dashboard to the centre console, where the air conditioning controls are located. The vehicle features sports seats and a multi-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, which incorporates controls for both the instrument cluster and the audio system. Additionally, a round dial for launch control is situated on the steering wheel, and the electric vehicle is equipped with paddle shifters for modifying regeneration modes.

Moreover, the MG Cyberster is enhanced by an electrically operated and foldable roof, six-way electrically adjustable heated seats with a memory function, and an eight-speaker Bose audio system. It also includes a Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, which improves its safety capabilities.

The MG Select initiative aims to position the company within the 'accessible luxury' market by introducing four new energy vehicles over the next two years, including the MG Cyberster. Furthermore, the company plans to launch exclusive experience centres in 12 cities across India within the first year.

At the same time, they have identified a significant opportunity to respond to India's evolving demand for accessible luxury and the emergence of 'new-age' options in the automotive sector.
