When utilizing the battery-as-a-service option, the MG Comet EV is priced at ₹7.8 lakh, while the non-BaaS variant is available for ₹9.81 lakh, ex-showroom. The Comet EV Blackstorm features an all-black exterior complemented by red accents on the alloy wheels, bonnet branding, fog lamp garnish, skid plates, and body moulding.
Blackstorm emblems are affixed to the front fenders. The interior design retains a white and grey theme, featuring black seats adorned with special Blackstorm insignia. Mechanically, the vehicle remains unchanged, equipped with the same 17.3 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of 230 km. The features and safety equipment are also consistent with those of the standard model.
2. Hyundai Exter Knight Edition
In July 2024, Hyundai unveiled the Exter Knight Edition, which enhances the compact SUV with a bold blacked-out aesthetic both inside and out. Tata Motors is one of the few manufacturers in India to launch black or dark editions of its standard models. The Tata Altroz Dark Edition is the most economical variant in its series to receive this unique enhancement. This edition showcases a completely black exterior and interior, featuring a black grille, alloy wheels, a cohesive cabin theme, and seat upholstery that contribute to its sleek appearance.
Premium details such as dark chrome accents on the grille and tailgate, a Dark Edition badge on the front fender, and embossed Dark branding on the seat backrests set this edition apart. The Altroz Dark Edition is available in the XZ Plus S and XZ Plus S Lux variants, with options for both petrol and diesel engines. 4. Hyundai Venue Knight Edition
The Venue Knight Edition from Hyundai is another noteworthy entry, with a starting price of ₹10.35 lakh, reaching up to ₹13.57 lakh, all ex-showroom. This edition also features an all-black exterior and interior. In contrast to its smaller counterpart, it incorporates copper-colored accents on the grille, steering wheel, and AC vents, providing a striking visual appeal. The black seat upholstery is enhanced with copper highlights as well.
This special edition is available in the higher-spec S(O), SX, and SX(O) variants, retaining all features from the standard models. Notably, the SX(O) Knight Edition includes a unique dual-camera dashcam. Under the hood, the Knight Edition offers both turbo-petrol and naturally aspirated petrol engine options.
5. Tata Nexon Dark Edition
The Tata Nexon Dark Edition is available in several variants, including Creative, Creative Plus, Creative Plus S, Fearless, and Fearless Plus S. This edition adopts an all-black exterior and interior theme, creating a bold presence on the road. It is priced from ₹11.70 lakh to ₹15.60 lakh, with all prices being ex-showroom.
The unique 'Dark Edition' badges located on the front fenders emphasize its exclusivity, while the features and safety suite are consistent with those of the standard Nexon.
