Lamborghini is poised to introduce its second hybrid supercar to the Indian market, following the Revento. The Italian luxury car manufacturer has announced that the new Temerario will be launched in India on April 30, 2025. This model will succeed the Huracan in Lamborghini's lineup and will be powered by a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) system. It is worth noting that the final units of the Huracan have recently been delivered to customers in India.

Lamborghini Temerario: Hybrid Powertrain

The Lamborghini Temerario made its global debut in August of the previous year, and it will arrive in India in just over eight months. The powertrain of the Temerario consists of a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine combined with three electric motors, akin to the Revuelto. The V8 engine generates 789 bhp at engine speeds between 9,000 rpm and 9,750 rpm, along with a maximum torque of 730 Nm available between 4,000 and 7,000 rpm.

The engine has a redline at 10,000 rpm with a combined output of 907 bhp and 800 Nm. The gearbox on duty is an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic unit

The engine features a redline of 10,000 rpm, delivering a total output of 907 bhp and 800 Nm of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The front axle is equipped with two electric motors, each driving a wheel and generating 220 kW (295 bhp), along with a peak torque of 2,150 Nm. Additionally, a third electric motor is integrated into the 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, powering the rear wheels. The overall power output remains at 907 bhp. The Lamborghini Temerario can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.7 seconds and achieves a maximum speed of 343 km/h. The three electric motors draw energy from a 3.8 kWh battery, which can be fully charged in 30 minutes using a 7 kW AC charger. Furthermore, the battery benefits from regenerative braking for self-charging.

Lamborghini Temerario: Design

The Lamborghini Temerario showcases an entirely new design language that is more aggressive than that of the Huracan. Its distinctive shark-nose front and lower lip spoiler contribute to its unique appearance, while the hexagon-shaped LED daytime running lights enhance its visibility. This design theme is also reflected in the taillights, centrally positioned rear exhaust, side mirrors, and fuel tank cap. The vehicle is fitted with 20-inch wheels at the front and 21-inch wheels at the rear, with a variety of options available, including carbon-fiber wheels.

Lamborghini offers a total of 13 distinct driving modes, which include Città, Strada, Sport, and Corsa. In Città mode, the Lamborghini introduces a unique sound from the electric drive unit, allowing the Temerario to operate quietly and without emissions.

The new Temerario is built on an aluminum spaceframe chassis that boasts a 20 percent increase in torsional rigidity compared to the carbon fiber and aluminum frame of the Huracan. Additionally, it features a track-oriented option known as the Alleggerita package, which incorporates extra carbon fiber panels to reduce the vehicle's weight by 25 kg from its dry weight of 1,715 kg.

Lamborghini Temerario: Interior

The interior design is inspired by fighter jets, similar to that of the Revuelto. The cabin is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system arranged vertically. A third 9.1-inch screen is positioned on the dashboard for the passenger's use. The seats are electrically adjustable and provide both heating and ventilation. Moreover, the steering wheel features physical controls. The Temerario includes 13 driving modes—Città, Strada, Sport, and Corsa—along with plug-in hybrid-specific modes: Recharge, Hybrid, and Performance. It also offers a dedicated drift mode with three levels of control. The braking performance is enhanced by 410 mm discs at the front with 10-piston calipers and 390 mm discs at the rear with four-piston calipers.

Lamborghini Temerario: Expected Price

Upon its launch in India, the Temerario is expected to rival the Ferrari 296 GTB, with anticipated prices around ₹6 crore (ex-showroom) for this hybrid supercar.
