Kia, the prominent South Korean automotive manufacturer, is set to officially launch the much-anticipated Syros SUV in India on December 19. In advance of this unveiling, the company has released a new teaser showcasing several features of the Syros. This SUV is expected to be positioned between Kia's popular models, the Seltos and Sonet, within the Indian market. The design of the Syros appears to be boxy, as indicated by previous teaser images, and it is anticipated to compete with other sub-four-meter SUVs such as the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, and Hyundai Venue.
The latest teaser provides a glimpse of the Syros's rear silhouette. As confirmed in earlier teasers, the SUV will feature L-shaped LED taillights situated around the rear windshield. However, unlike the Seltos and Sonet, the Syros will not include connected taillights. Additionally, it will be equipped with a shark-fin antenna.
A significant highlight from the recent teaser video is a brief look at the SUV's interior, revealing that the Syros will include a panoramic sunroof, a feature that is particularly popular among Indian consumers and is also found in the Mahindra XUV 3OO, which competes in the same segment.
Kia Syros: Exterior Design
Previous teasers and sketches indicate that the Kia Syros SUV will showcase a distinctive design that sets it apart from other models in Kia's lineup. It will feature a vertically stacked three-pod LED headlight arrangement, complemented by long, vertically positioned LED daytime running lights. Additional exterior design elements will include expansive window panels, a flat roof, a pronounced kink in the window line near the C pillar, flared wheel arches, flush-fitting door handles, and roof rails, among others.
Kia Syros: Anticipated Features
Spy photographs of the Kia Syros suggest that the SUV will be equipped with a new two-spoke steering wheel and a dual-screen display that integrates both the infotainment system and the driver’s display, similar to those found in the Seltos, Sonet, and Carens.
