Kia India Achieves 24% Growth in February: The Syros Effect

Kia India just shared its sales figures for February 2025, showing a solid 23.8% increase compared to last year. They moved 25,026 units last month, up from 20,200 units in February 2024. The brand maintained steady sales across its lineup, with the new Kia Syros making a notable impact, accounting for 21.7% of total sales.

Sonet topped Kia's sales in February 

Kia India had a solid month in February, moving 5,245 units of the Syros and boasting an impressive order book of over 20,000 for the new subcompact SUV. The Kia Sonet topped the sales chart with 7,598 units sold, while the Seltos followed closely with 6,446 units. The Carens MPV also performed well, with 5,318 units delivered last month. The new Carnival is gaining traction too, with 239 units sold. Interestingly, around 46% of buyers are choosing the higher-end variants. On the export front, Kia sent out 2,042 units to more than 70 international markets in February.

Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, commented on the strong sales, saying, “Kia India is steadily growing, fueled by high customer demand and our dedication to providing innovative mobility solutions. The fantastic response to the Syros confirms that Indian consumers are looking for top-notch automotive quality, with 46% opting for premium variants. Meanwhile, our key models—Sonet, Seltos, and Carens—are still performing exceptionally well, showcasing their lasting appeal across different segments.”

Kia is set to roll out the facelifted version of the EV6 pretty soon

Kia is getting ready to launch the revamped EV6, which first appeared in India at the 2025 Auto Expo. This refreshed electric SUV will come with some stylish updates and new features, plus it’ll pack a bigger 84 kWh battery that offers more than 650 km of range. The brand is also putting a lot of faith in the new Syros, which sits between the Sonet and Seltos, to boost its sales.
